Sgt. 1st Class Cynthia Regina Harmon,
U.S. Army Reserve
Sgt.1st Class Cynthia Harmon has more than 20 years in the military service including nine years in the United States Marine Corps, four in the Georgia Army National Guard and six in the United States Army Reserve. She has received 11 commendations for her service including: USMC Good Conduct Medal; South West Asia Service Medal (with Bronze Star); Kuwait Liberation Medals (K) and (SA) and Combat Action Badge.
She completed active military service in 1994 where she then worked for Piedmont Hospital and also started her own business. In 2003, she joined the Georgia National Guard where she was deployed to Iraq. A year later she left the National Guard to join the United States Army Reserve and remained in active service from 2007 to 2011. Harmon now owns a successful wholesale medical business in Kennesaw, Ga.
