
Marietta Davis is the general manager for Microsoft's Greater Southeast District Enterprise and Partner Group. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing and service delivery functions to the company's enterprise customers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She is additionally responsible for Microsoft's engagement with the community on issues of importance including economic development and innovation.
Davis brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the information technology industry to her position. Previously, she served as general manager for Microsoft's Heartland District where she led sales and marketing initiatives to customers throughout Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Prior to that role, she was the director of headquarter sales for Microsoft's Central Region. In this capacity, Davis led a team of district sales leaders managing multiple territories of sales teams to achieve Microsoft business and revenue objectives.
Davis also worked on Microsoft's U.S. Operations team as director of strategy, supporting the global strategic and major enterprise business. She was responsible for setting strategy and execution direction in multiple areas, including security mobilization, enterprise agreement renewals and marketing field integration programs.
Before joining Microsoft in 1999, Davis spent five years in various sales and marketing roles at IBM. While there, she was instrumental in delivering large-scale business solutions to many prominent clients, resulting in her receipt of the prestigious IBM "Golden Circle Award."
Passionate about community service and volunteerism, Davis actively supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and encourages young women to enter the science and technology fields. She serves on the board of TechBridge, a local non-profit organization that helps other non-profits leverage technology to accomplish their goals. She also is involved with the Autism Society of America.
She holds a B.A. in business and television production from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.
