Hiroko Tatebe

Founder and Executive Director, Global Organization for Leadership and Diversity (GOLD)

GOLD is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing global women leaders and bridges across the Pacific. Hiroko Tatebe oversees program development and is responsible for all aspects of operating the organization.

Prior to forming GOLD in 2006, Hiroko was Executive Vice President, Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank of California (DKBCAL). During her tenure at DKBCAL she was the first and only woman on the Board of Directors. She was responsible for all aspects of Finance, Operations, Administration and Compliance, and successfully managed professional teams with diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.

Hiroko is active in many professional and community organizations. Her honors include "Outstanding Business Woman of the Year" from the Los Angeles Chapter of Women in Business and an "Affiliated Businesswomen Member of the Year" from the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

A native of Tokyo, Japan, Hiroko received her B.A. degree from Whittier College and a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at the Bank Administration Institute. She holds a Certified Financial Planner designation.
